TESTING & RESEARCH
The Bottom Line: Rigorous testing has been conducted at independent, accredited, third party laboratories adhering to NOCSAE standards for new helmets. As depicted, helmets equipped with S.A.F.E.Clip reduce g-force impact by up to 35% over helmets using standard facemask clips.
Lab Specifics: Testing procedures were followed as specified within NOCSAE (ND) 087-18m18. A twin wire apparatus as defined in NOCSAE (ND) 001-17m17b was used to perform all impacts. A 3” MEP calibration pad was used to calibrate the headforms and all impacts were conducted on a 1⁄8” MEP Test Pad. The helmet was positioned on the headform per the manufacturer’s supplied fitting instructions.
Additional Testing: Beyond the lab, S.A.F.E.Clip has also been tested at various youth leagues, high schools, and colleges across the country.
